The Spine Hospital Honors Employees of the Quarter
February 17, 2020 6:07 pmThe Spine Hospital of Louisiana takes great pride in recognizing and emphasizing employee commitment to delivering quality service in caring for patients, their families, our physicians, and all members of our team. Therefore, our organization extends formal recognition to employees, on a quarterly basis for their commitment to excellence. Please join us in Congratulating The Spine Hospital’s Newest Employees of the Quarter!
Blair Ramagos, RN – Employee of the 4th Quarter 2019
Blair, a registered nurse with The Spine Hospital’s Pain Management department, is described by her coworkers as an outstanding leader and the ‘point person’ for all staff in this very busy unit. She is seen as an innovator who is always coming up with new ways to make the department run more efficiently, as well as a selfless team member who never hesitates to take new staff under her wing to teach them the ‘Spine Hospital way.’ Blair is admired by coworkers for always looking out for those under her care. Her coworkers say Blair never falters when it comes to making sure the right decision is made for her patient regardless of outside influences. Patients leave our hospital remembering Blair’s positivity and upbeat attitude. According to the Director of Pain Management, Cody Fletcher, RN “Blair is a model employee who is an incredible representative of The Spine Hospital at work and in the community. She represents The Spine Hospital extremely well with everything she does and sets a great example for us all. We are very lucky to have an individual like Blair on our team!”
Chris Blair – Employee of the 1st Quarter 2020
Chris is one of The Spine Hospital of Louisiana’s unsung heroes. As a member of our Purchasing department, his tireless work ethic and attention to detail is imperative to controlling costs as well as the improving the efficiency of ALL departments at our hospital.
According to his supervisor, Chris is a force to be reckoned with in the supply room as he is constantly checking high value inventory items and crossing that with or computer system to make sure that all is accounted for. With the department down a person and during our hospital’s busiest fall on record, Chris stepped up in a huge way by successfully negotiating with vendors, purchasing supplies, and troubleshooting backorder issues to keep the department functioning seamlessly.
But according to coworkers, what really makes Chris shine is his ability to impact the people around him in a positive way. “Everyone who crosses paths with Chris know that he embraces the Spine hospital value of having fun at work, and making the atmosphere enjoyable for others. Chris always has a joke or a kind word for everyone that he interacts with creating a positive work environment not just for her department but for everyone he encounters. Chris’ positivity is contagious and brings an uplifting spirit to our entire hospital. We are very fortunate to have this hard-working, comedic character walking our halls, servicing almost every department with the biggest, smile you have ever seen.” said Noah Baker, The Spine Hospital’s Director of Purchasing.
