Providing patients with safe medical imaging examinations and radiation therapy treatments is the prime goal for the nation’s radiologic technologists. To recognize the vital work of its Rad Techs, The Spine Hospital of Louisiana at The NeuroMedical Center is joining hands with the American Society of Radiologic Technologists to celebrate National Radiologic Technology Week®, November 5-11, 2017.  The Spine Hospital is pleased to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions its team of nine Rad Techs provide to its community, 365 days a year.
NRTW was created by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists in 1979. The event is celebrated each year during the week of Nov. 8, the day that German physicist Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered the x-ray in 1895. This year’s theme is “Positioning to Save Lives.”
Medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals work with some of the most innovative equipment in the medical field to help identify pathologies, plan and administer treatment and restore patient health. Rad Techs at The Spine Hospital have received specialized training in spinal imaging and diagnostics, and utilize state-of-the-art equipment including the nation’s first Toshiba Ultimax-iFPD Multi-Purpose X-ray System to precisely diagnose and treat conditions of the spine.  Their knowledge and expertise are critical to the success of our Pain Medicine and Neurosurgical operations.
